Required Reading

Knowledge is power and reading these books may give you just make you a little more powerful!

Mortgages For Dummies – The ‘for dummies’ series of books is great.  I used this book as a first step for loan officer training,  Of course they have to go through a lot more advanced training as well, but when I have someone new to the industry, this is where I start them.

The ABC’s of Real Esate– This is a great book that will help you understand how real estate works and will help novice investors get a grip on how to get their real estate investing career off the ground.  It’s an older book and some strategies might not be right for today, but it’s still has a lot of relevant information.

Good to Great – If you have ever wondered how great leaders lead or how to become a great leader yourself, then this book is a MUST read.  Especially if you are starting a business.  Good to Great will help you build a solid team!

The Tipping Point – If you have ever wondered how some product or service became wildly successful without much marketing or because of a small nudge in the right direction, then read this book.  Another must for business owners or anybody trying to get a new concept up and running.

Marketing Warfare– All is fair in love and war ….and apparently in business marketing!  This book was published many years ago and was updated again about 10 years ago and it is amazing how relevant it remains.  Small business owners need to pay special attention to the gorilla tactics they teach.  Really good stuff!
